Ulysse Nardin Freak NeXt (2019)

Platinum / Titanium case in 45mm. Automatic calibre UN-25X, featuring UN Grinder concept; high 12Hz frequency with NeXt 3D Flying oscillator and Ulysse anchor escapement. The “Grinder” uses the smallest of wrist movements. The oscillating weight is connected to a frame carrying four clicks or blades, which gives the self-winding system twice the angular stroke (like a bicycle fitted with four pedals instead of two). About the escapement and balance : the idea of this regulating organ is to eliminate the axis of the balance wheel in order to create a virtual pivot point. This is a radical development that hugely improves the traditional principle of balance spring regulation introduced in the 17th century. The elimination of friction on the bearings, optimizing the movement’s energy consumption. The only remaining friction is with air, what remains is only a fraction of friction, no contact, no wear and no oil. Power reserve is at 70hrs Limited to 12 pcs Priced at 323,000.00CHF

Longines ULTRA-CHRON (2022)

This is a tribute to the 1968 ULTRA-CHRON Diver, the first dive watch to be equipped with a high-frequency movement at the time. This re-edition model has a stainless steel case in 43mm. Automatic calibre L836.6, a high-frequency “in house” movement. “high-frequency” is defined when the balance wheel oscillates at 36,000 beats per hour (10 beats every second) or higher. LONGINES pioneered in 1914 (to time 1/10th of a second) and 1916 (to time 1/100th of a second), improved precise timekeeping. From 1959 onwards, LONGINES made use of the high-beat-movements to increase the accuracy of its watches. Power reserve is 52 hrs Priced at CHF3,500

Armin Strom Pure Resonance (2018)

In physics, resonance is a phenomenon in which a vibrating system or external force drives another system to oscillate with greater amplitude at specific frequencies. This watch takes advantage of this physics phenomenon and made two resonating balances to offer better stability of rate and higher precision; connected by the patented clutch spring. This unique piece places the emphasis on the watch’s most remarkable feature: the visible dual balances oscillating in resonance. The yellow gold plating and the special matt decoration finish are highlighting the vintage style of this timepiece. The dial offers two “Email Main Grand Feu” subdials for time displays: Roman numerals dominate the off-center subdial displaying hours and minutes in black with steel hands, while a classic railroad track marks the exact minutes. The smaller subdial at 7 o’clock displays seconds using only a baton-shaped hand and a simple track. The Armin Strom Mirrored Force was released in 2016, this year the Pure Resonance takes on a more simple approach by reducing a seconds counter. 42mm in Stainless steel. Manual winding movement; caliber ARF16 with 48-hour power reserve. Limited to 1pc. Priced at 62,000.00CHF

Dominique Renaud DR01 (2018)

One of the main focus here is the replacement of the traditional Swiss lever escapement with the Blade Resonator; which is incredible at reducing friction. The hairspring itself is replaced by a short spring shaped like a bow, on the outside of the blade resonator. This short spring pivots between two opposing blade edges, making a very low angle oscillation, the friction generated is very low; which means power efficiency is very high. This system is completely new and will make revolutionary changes to the industry. Low amplitude (30°) with high frequency (5Hz) offers great accuracy, in fact Renaud believes it can achieve far superior accuracy than COSC. Using a standard mainspring, it can achieve an incredible power reserve of 14 days. The case is made of titanium C shape and the movement is housed in a sapphire cylinder that can rotate 360°, allowing the wearer to choose which part of the watch to admire. Unique piece. Priced at 1,000,000.00CHF
