While minute repeater is nothing new to the market, this Swiss Alp watch Minute Repeater faces many different challenges. First, the constrains on the shape of the gongs (2 in this watch); because of the watch’s rectangular case, the gongs were extremely difficult to produce while maintaining a quality sound effect. Not only with constraints at the angles of the gongs but also those of the case; the case went thru extensive work, the case middle is widened to maximize the pace to create a large soundbox.
