This project took 5 years to develop from scratch, the movement has 514 components at JUST 8.7mm! More impressive is that it has a 3 weeks power reserve (6 barrels). Perpetual calendar, age of moon, sun rise sun set, running equation of time, tide level, sun earth moon conjunction, celestial chart, Tourbillon just to name a few. This is a jaw dropping piece and I was totally impressed by its size 45mm in 18k white gold. Unique Piece. Besides all that advanced technical achievements, this watch has won the GPHG2017 Mechanical Exception Watch Prize.
VOUTILAINEN WORLD TIMER (2023). Cushion-shaped steel case measuring 39 x 48 mm with a thickness of 12 mm, accompanied by a leather strap and pin buckle. The hand-guilloché dial, water resistance of 30 meters. Manual-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 60 hours and operates at 18,000 variations per hour. The watch features functions for hours, minutes, and world time, the world time function is easily accessible by pressing the crown inwards to change the town and time zone. Limited 10-piece. This watch won the 2022 GPHG Chronometry Prize
In 2016, their Chronometer FB1 took the GPHG “Aiguille d’or” top prize. This year the FB1R utilizes a Regulator display. A steel version was introduced in January; at BaselWorld; we see another case material : Bronze. Bronze case was made to commemorate two ships that sailed in 1785; carrying 5 Ferdinand Berthoud marine Chronometer; L’Astrolabe and La Boussole. Bronze case at 44mm. Hand winding Caliber FB-T.FC, fusee and chain constant force with 3Hz Tourbillon, 53 hours power reserve. Only 5 pieces will be made each with difference treatments to the bronze case. BOVET 1822 RÉCITAL 20 ASTÉRIUM (2023). White Gold and Red Gold case, 46mm diameter, 18.3mm thickness, leather strap with pin buckle, water resistance up to 30 meters. Manual-winding mechanical movement with a 240-hour power reserve. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, day, month, power reserve indicator, retrograde minutes, tourbillon, equation of time, and a special escapement. Annual calendar tracking summer and winter equinox. Reference: R20N005/1/PU. Launched in October 2022, part of the Dimier collection, limited to 1 piece. Priced at 532,432 CHF. The case is in Platinum / Titanium 41mm. Movement is automatic Caliber 5133, the thickness of this movement is at 2.89mm which is a world record of the thickness. Two patents are new to this watch – No: 1 the end of the month cam is integrated to the day of the month wheel, standing now at the same level as the wheel.
