This project took 5 years to develop from scratch, the movement has 514 components at JUST 8.7mm! More impressive is that it has a 3 weeks power reserve (6 barrels). Perpetual calendar, age of moon, sun rise sun set, running equation of time, tide level, sun earth moon conjunction, celestial chart, Tourbillon just to name a few. This is a jaw dropping piece and I was totally impressed by its size 45mm in 18k white gold. Unique Piece. Besides all that advanced technical achievements, this watch has won the GPHG2017 Mechanical Exception Watch Prize.

The watch is in stainless steel, 43mm. Movement is a brand new caliber, UN-128 a automatic flying tourbillon that has 60 hours power reserve, entirely made in-house AND it is COSC certified. But there is more; it also has a Silicium escapement and hair spring, BPH at 4Hz. Sapphire display caseback. 42mm case, the case middle and lugs made of grade 5 titanium and bezel and caseback made in platinum. The heart at 6 o’clock is formed by an intersection of the two skulls on the dial : framing a red gem in the center of the hidden tourbillon cage. Visible only when the slider of the repeater is activated, the chimes of the minute repeater carillon sound while another mechanism simultaneously separates the two skulls to reveal the tourbillon. This is the 2nd polo watch from RM. This RM53-01 incorporates a cable system to suspend the movement; acting as shock and vibration absorbers. This watch also has a unique sapphire crystal; it is laminated with a poly vinyl – a first in the watch industry.
