42mm case, the case middle and lugs made of grade 5 titanium and bezel and caseback made in platinum. The heart at 6 o’clock is formed by an intersection of the two skulls on the dial : framing a red gem in the center of the hidden tourbillon cage. Visible only when the slider of the repeater is activated, the chimes of the minute repeater carillon sound while another mechanism simultaneously separates the two skulls to reveal the tourbillon. is a very very special watch. Much of the internal components uses the brands (at the time) newest silicon called Silinvar. In this watch it’s using the GyromaxSi balance wheel. The shape of the wheel looks like an hour glass with inlaid gold added for weight. Two other parts also using this new material are the Pulsomax escapement and the Spiromax balance spring. The combination of these three components involved in the energy transfer of the watch are together called “Oscillomax.” The caliber 240 Q Si is based on the existing ultra-thin perpetual calendar caliber 240 Q automatic movement. Greubel Forsey revealed in 2012 the double double-tourbillon called the Quadruple Tourbillon Secret. To house these Tourbillons, the size of the watch is big; thickness at over 16mm. And considering the 519 components and FOUR tourbillons that reside inside, with a diameter of 43.5mm, it’s all justified. Only 16 pieces will be made in total, 8 in platinum and 8 in 5N red gold.
