Badollet was founded by Jean Badollet in 1655 and went on to operate until 1924. The closure in 1924 was due to the outbreak of World War I. Years later, the brand was revived by a descendant of the Badollet family. This watch, the Badollet Ivresse tourbillon was introduced in 2012. The watch has a very interesting curve, the movement is curved. Case is in PT950 platinum. At the time, the CEO was Philippe Dubois, the designer of this watch was my good friend Eric Giroud. The watch maker that was in charge of the movement was none other than David Candaux. Only 50pcs was made and in 2012, Priced at 200,000CHF

This is the third version of the “1740”. The watch has 3 patents and 8 design registrations. It was named “1740” in memory of the year when the presence of a watchmaker was recognized for the first time ever in the Vallee de Joux. Titanium case in 43.5mm, the watch features a manual winding 30 degree inclined tourbillon, big centre seconds hand, power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock. The watch features an ‘Invisible Structural Setting’, a stone-setting technique patented by Graff. 18k rose gold 46 mm case; fitted 423 specially-cut diamonds, 20.52 carats each, and 13 emeralds with a distinct design featuring Graff’s Invisible Mosaic diamond setting. The watch features a monobloc sapphire case that consists of the case (case band and lugs as a solid piece), a dome and a caseback in 50mm. It’s an update version of the Astronomia Gravitational Triple Axis Tourbillon watch with sun, moon and Earth globes. The heart of the watch is a manual winding JCAM16 caliber with triple axis tourbillon . It also features two spherical 288-facet diamond spheres.
