Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance (2017)
This year the Mirrored Force Resonance gets an update with a new guilloché dials; made and manufactured in Voutilainen’s Môtiers-based workshop, on century-old engine-turning lathes, which can only be controlled by hand. In physics, resonance is a phenomenon in which a vibrating system or external force drives another system to oscillate with greater amplitude at specific frequencies. The Armin Strom Mirrored Force takes advantage of this physics phenomenon and made two resonating balances to offer better stability of rate and higher precision, because two oscillators will tend to reinforce each other. This is an ingenious design. 43.5mm in stainless steel. Manual winding movement; caliber ARF15 with 48-hour power reserve. Priced at 59,000.00CHF
